Coimbatore’s flagship Wildlife Photography event, DJMPE – 2023 was conducted at Kasthuri Srinivasan Art Gallery in July & August, 2023. Visiting Media students from the Department of Communication, PSG College of Arts & Science register their reviews on the event.

The photographs were elegant and beautiful, clearly reflecting the photographers’ dedication and time investment. The skillful use of angles and color gradients was particularly impressive.The play of light and shadow adds depth and dimension, enhancing the overall visual experience.
Sir I visited the DJ Memorial Photography Contest 2023 photos on display at Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust Art Gallery Textile Museum. I would like to share my experiences about it here. It was an amazing experience for me. There were many photos that contained both aesthetics and deep meaning. Each photograph showed the patience and creativity of the photographers.
Sir here I would like to mention some of the photos that I was most amazed by,
The first photo that greeted me when I walked in was ‘Krakatau’ by Mark levitin. Mark realistically captures Indonesia’s Anak krakatau volcano erupting. This photo showed the ferocity of the Krakatau and Mark’s courage.
The next photo was ‘Fire Consumed My Life’ by Umashankar. In this photo, Umashankar captures a bird flying between burning forests in Kaziranga National Park. This photo contains a deep meaning on the current state of bird species.
The next photo I want to mention here is ‘Nature Refraction’ by Dhuruv Shilpi. The image of a flower reflected very beautifully and clearly on all the snowdrops. It was very beautiful.
The next photo I was amazed by was ‘Austfounna Ice Cap’ by Thomas Vijayan. The view of melting iceberg in Svalbard was like a natural 3D painting.
Finally, the photos that I was most amazed by were ‘Ruler Of The Universe’ and ‘Gurdian Of The City’ by Arjun haarthi focusing on the spider. This natural scene that looks like a photo created with advanced technologies was amazing.
Every photo like these surprised me and made me think deeply.
Finally, I wrote my opinion in the comment box placed there,
“Nature has its own kind of aesthetics. We just don’t get time or chance to see it. I express my heartfelt thanks to all the photographers who have photographed such aesthetic events.”
The event was mind boggling with breathtaking photographs and top notch photographic ideas. All the photos did justice to the total price money of Rs. 10 lakhs. The photograph from Anamalais, of a leopard won a well deserved first place.
The photographic event was a great event that had eye catching photographs with state of the art capturing ideas. All the photos deserved to be in the contest. It was a great experience overall with a ton of amazing photographs.
Coimbatore’s flagship Wildlife Photography event, DJMPE – 2023 was conducted at Kasthuri Srinivasan Art Gallery in August, 2023 where me and my friends made a visit on Aug 3, 2023. Pictures show creatures and nature with unique style of each person who takes picture suitably by conveying message to family and friends. The Photographer renders hard work and quality like a professional to take pictures and they scale good heights.
Displayed pictures were expressing their feelings and thoughts of meaning to deliver success.

“It was indeed a beautiful session filled with the outcomes of creative minds! Each photograph represented the dedication and efforts taken behind it. The beauty of nature lies in the minds of the photographers; it is portrayed in a way that they wanted it to be, and that was the reason behind all those beautiful pictures. More than a location, a creative mind + patience defines the skill of a photographer. On the whole it was a great experience visiting the exhibition.
DJMPE – 2023 was conducted at Kasthuri Srinivasan Art Gallery Museum in August 2023. Photography Exhibition is the greatest place to reach out to viewers and interact with them. Several artists convey their message to the viewers through the exhibition. The photography exhibition is a key step for a photographer for establishing oneself as a professional. It was great experience with Mind blowing photographs! Thank you.

Insects to infinity took us a very long way ,it was like taking a long tour in woods.i felt so astonished and admired Jayaram Sir. As a growing photographer I learnt from him “Without enduring pain there is no gain”.
The risk he had taken was all because of his passion. The books he has left us will bring nature before us till the existence of this universe. Thanks to Jayaram Sir and my college professors for giving an opportunity to witness the insects to infinity.
I am so glad that I stumbled across Photographs. I am not qualified enough to say about how professional it is and the quality of work that provides. It was so pleasant experience and photographs, that made me continue and explore more in the future. In short, I loved the colours and its take into the world of peace.
